A very popular event, this is your chance to flex your creative muscle and add some stitches into one of the Wellington Embroiderers' Guild large frames set up in the Old St Paul's north transept.

You also have the opportunity to view the beautiful embroideries held at Old St Pauls, including our altar frontal set installed last year. The set includes decorative elements carefully chosen to honour the site’s unique history as both the gardens of Pipitea Pā and as former Anglican church.

The Wellington Embroiderers' Guild is a society founded over 55 years ago to encourage people to learn embroidery and to share their skills with others. They welcome beginners and experienced stitchers to their regular meetings and classes. It's a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and benefit from the meditative activities that stitch can offer.
