Matariki Mobiles for Tamariki
To celebrate Matariki, we’re inviting kids to come along to one of Wellington’s most beautiful buildings to create hanging starry mobiles.
Children will also learn about the importance of this date, some valuable kupu, and how to identify te iwa o Matariki in the sky, all while devising and cutting their mobile of stars to hang in their favourite nook at home.
This fun school holiday programme follows other popular workshops held at the property, and offers a tranquil space (for child and guardian alike!) in which to make unique pieces of art, this time for a very special date in Aotearoa’s calendar.
For ages 5 to 12. Please note, children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. $10 per child. Spaces are limited, so hurry and book today.
